Born in Asbury Park but Raised in Atlantic City, RICKSHON is as unique as his very name. Combined with British, Caribbean, and Native American descent, this artist pushes himself to the limit with everything he does. Once a College Football standout at La Salle University, he had dreams of going to the NFL like so many young players. But because of attending a private college and his only source of financial support passing away (His grandmother), he had no choice but to dropout. Trapped in limbo about what to do with his life after he had dedicated his time and energy into training for his goal, he had all but given up on life. When he want out on a limb to go to a studio in New York, he wrote his first song ever at SkyLab Studios (a well known place where many artist such as Will Smith, SWV, Brandy, and Kelly Price had all worked on classic albums). The producer was blown away by his energy and his sound. He said "I ain't never heard a guy from Jersey sound like that". The boost made RS push to tighten his flow and use his unique sound on every track he gets on. Only five years in the game but he's breaking ground already. *** only knows where he will be in the near future. This is a true talent and what Jersey needs to finally get its spot in the new age rap scene... Just wait and see :)
